EEO Report

2010- Annual EEO Public File Report

The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (”Annual EEO Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s Equal Employment Rules.  This Annual EEO Report summarizes the relevant hiring and EEO outreach conducted by the following stations, which collectively form-”The Southern Oklahoma Radio Center“- a single Station Employment Unit (SEU) for purposes of the EEO Rules:

Section 3: Supplemental (Non-Vacancy Specific) Recruitment Activities Undertaken

Chickasaw Nation Summer Youth Work Program (§73.2080(c)(2)(v)). KKAJ, KYNZ, KTRX and KVSO hosted a member of the Chickasaw Nation Summer Youth Work Program, Justin Carney, at the radio stations for a four week period beginning June 8, 2009 and lasting through June 23, 2009.  This paid internship program is designed to give young members of the Chickasaw Nation experience in their fields of interest.  Station Traffic Manager, Shea Wilson and Denisa Baker, Administration Assistant managed and supervised Justin’s daily activities.  He was given the opportunity to learn several aspects of radio station operations.  He was assigned basic duties in areas of programming, commercial production, promotions, sales and administration during his internship.

EWU to install red artificial FB turf

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Taking a cue from Boise State’s famous blue turf, the Eastern Washington football program is planning to install red turf on its field in Cheney, Wash.

Former Eastern Washington football star Michael Roos has pledged $500,000 toward the project.

With 2 goalies hurt, Caps recall Holtby from AHL

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Capitals have recalled Braden Holtby from Hershey of the AHL, and he will be available for Wednesday night’s game against the Anaheim Ducks.

The move was made because two of the Capitals top goaltenders are hurt.

Jose (JOH-say) Theodore left after the second period of Tuesday night’s win over the New York Islanders with a lower body injury and is day to day.
